Diane
My name is Diane Bookhammer, and I'm the owner of Pawz in the Sand. I grew up in Houston, Texas, but moved to Alabama in 2011. Not long after, I met Kevin, my husband, and we just celebrated our 10th anniversary this year. We have six amazing kids and are thrilled to welcome our 10th grandbaby!
I jumped into the pet care industry back in 1992, starting as kennel staff and quickly finding my groove in grooming. After more than 30 years of grooming and managing salons, I finally got the chance to buy the salon I had been running for almost 15 years.
I'm really looking forward to this new chapter of my life, where I'll be staying in a job that I absolutely love. When I'm not working, I enjoy fishing, gardening, watching movies, napping, and hanging out with family and friends.
Kristin
My name is Kristin Willis. I was born and raised here in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Mу husband is Brandon and we have 2 beautiful boys, Brice and Liam! Me and my husband also have a granite countertop business, Granite Life LLC. When I'm not making your furry friends' look pawsitively perfect, I'm making homes more luxurious with brandnew stone countertops! I also enjoy EVERYTHING to do with the outdoors! My life is a bit of a farm, a little homestead with chickens, horses, donkeys, a Highlander bull, and a lot more. My three dogs are my crew: Duece the German Shepherd/Lab mix, and my two Pomeranians, Elvis and Bennelli. I have been a part of this grooming shop since the very beginning of time, 2011!! I got my start as a bather, and it didn't take long for me to transition into grooming. It's what I've been doing ever since! This shop and our clientele has grown to be a part of my extended family!!
Tiffany
My name is Tiffany. I am originally from Birmingham, Al, I moved to Gulf Shores when I was 6 and have been here ever since. I have a son, Zayden and my fur baby Mocha, who both keep me on my toes, so when I’m not tending to your fur babies that’s where I’m at! I started out as a bather in 2021 and shortly after began my role as a groomer. I’ve worked with animals all my life and grooming is definitely where I belong!
